WHAT IS TEACH TEC?
TEACH TEC is aimed at better preparing Arizona's K-12 students for an increasingly technology based society. This program will provide a 8-hour teacher certificate course, at a low cost, using a variety of technologies to serve as high impact educational tools to enhance the K-12 educational experience.
To prepare teachers, Arizona State University's Bob Ramsey Executive Education Program and the University of Arizona's Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and Arizona Telemedicine Program faculty will provide a certificate program on how different technologies can serve as high impact educational tools to enhance the K-12 education experience.
This project was developed in response to the Governor's Arizona Executive Order 2007-06: "Building 21st Century Schools calls for the preparation and modernization of grades K-12 to align schools and education in an effort to better meet the needs of students in today's changing and growing demands of a technology based environment."
